Does anyone elses' hood...?

RE: Does anyone elses' hood...?
It would seem like it's a problem with all of them, but I have to report that I have yet to experience any hood shaking or bowing at high speed. I've been watching for it ever since guys have been reporting it, but nothing so far. [knocks on wood]

RE: Does anyone elses' hood...?
I cut a BIG hole in the top of my hood!... Pretty much took care of the built up air pressure - hood shake - problem.

RE: Does anyone elses' hood...?
Actually... they put a LOT of thought into water.
There are 4 drain hoses... one on each corner... the trim ring fits deep into the top of the unit... routing any water that goes in between the shaker and the ring directly into a water chanel that guides the water into one of the hoses.
The shaker itself... has a catch basin in the bottom of the unit, which routes heavy water into exit ducts just below the air intake routing tube. The intake tube dumps half way up the side of the air box so should water make it that far, it would just fall into the bottom of the box.

SCStanger... It is VERY Functional. A closed system - actually pressurized once you reach above 30mph. the faster you go.. the more pressure you create.
Fragstertx... I got it from CDC... it was like $831. I did all the install myself and it wasn't all that hard - just took some patience!

GTpremi/professor-
you guys are lowered or different front spoilered right? wonder if that is why no hood balooning...maybe an airdam of some sort lower in the front is a way to prevent hood lift?
everyone else- how does hood lift? do sides bulge up in the middle? just wondering whats bending- the hood or the hinges...

Ford4v429....
It is quite possible you are onto something. I do have a chin spoiler.
Chin spoilers do more then look good.... they direct some of the air into your lower cooling grid and the rest of the air to the outside of the car, preventing the air from going UNDER the car... THIS creates a vacume so-to-speak... actually.. less turbulance and a lower air pressure. - - this process would definately suck air from the bottom of the engine compartment, therin releasing the air pressure that causes the hood shake.
