I never noticed any hood problems yet and have taken it to 110 so far. Got a CDC agressive front chin spoiler and fabricated a mesh grille foor it. You do have to cut into the bumper to mount. It opened up the bottom grille for more airflow around the engine and wheel wells.

Was talking on another forum about mileage( here: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...1&page=2&pp=15 ) and this thought popped up, thought I'd drop it back in here...

<<I tend to think adding a spoiler eliminates some of the trapped air under the car/underhood(grill gulps a LOT of air)...my guess is the positive underhood pressure would actually INCREASE horsepower at speed(underhood 'ram-air' effectively), but at the same time should effect the fuel injection system a little too- wether for better or worse, who knows(perhaps this is why some chassis dyno's show high speed mixture being off- maybe it wouldnt be if the car was actually moving that fast with the hood shut).
another interesting test to try- put a water column manometer with hose underhood and READ pressure at MPH...thinking about this makes me wonder if a lot of tuners might be forgetting a piece of the puzzle surely ford took into account.>>

just something to talk about while waiting for the car...

Hey Prof. Wizard,
What grill is that you have? Did you have to cut the original out? How sturdy is the lower grill, seems prett flimsy to hold a nice grill like that.
Thanks....

MPG has been a small disappointment with my stang... My 94 Corvette LT1 got 33mpg on the highway and around 19 city.... My stang has been getting around 17 city and 23 highway... BIG difference for the same horsepower - - however the vette was a considerably more aerodynamic a car of which I am sure effects mileage considerably.

My Mustang is SO damn much FUN to drive though - - I decided not the care!... I just put gas in it and hand my credit card to the clerk without looking.. LOL.

BigSkyLLC... .... ...
* It is a T-Rex Grill. I bought it through SFX Performance.

* No.. The pieces inlay on the original grill, however you do have to remove the horse out of the original grill. I sanded the horse to match the curve of the new grill and put it back on with 3M Tape. It has held on through several high-pressure touch-less washes and speeds up to around 115.

* The lower grill is VERY Firm. The original grill is still there and the metal pieces fill the space creating a VERY Stable and Strong combination.

* The ONLY negative I have found so far is that it is a biatch cleaning up the grill after a nighttime drive on country roads near a river.
