I was just thinking, I can't see my hood when driving. I don't really see past the window sprayers. So for all I know the front of my hood is about to explode into 1000 pieces.

Also, when I get my new hood, it'll be fiberglass, probably not as strong as the Detroit Steel.

While driving down the highway at about 80+ mph my hood starts to lift up. Does anyone else have/had this problem. Im sure it just because they swapped to a lighter hood on the 05 but the last thing I want is for it to fly off.
man, I didn't even pay attention to this before...but today, doing 80+ with windy conditions and my hood starts to lift up also. I sure hope the clamp holds this sucker down cause it was making me nervous...damn![:@]

A while back I was doing around 80 across the bridge with pretty strong cross winds. The hood became unlatched and scared the sh*t out of me but fortunately the safety latch did its work and held the hood. I took it to the Dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. [sm=WTFsgign.gif]

you can see it lifting up in the center/rear of the hood, nearest the windshield.

Ok, i was just racing a Z28 (and smoked it) but while i was at 110 I noticed that the hood was rattling back right and left like mad!!! this was the first time i noticed it! If i got hood pins would that help keep it down?

another question- those that have seen the hood lift problem- do you have gas struts added? wondering if strut pushing on hinge might be adding pressure where not designed to be any...

I've had mine up to 135 mph. No hood shake at all, in fact the entire car was remarkably stable and it didn't seem at all like I was going that fast. I do not have hood struts. My hood and other body work are completely stock. No chin spiler, nothng and I have no hood shake.
