Reverse light always on when lights are on

Well I found out the right side the base of the bulb was cracked. Put a new bulb in and it worked fine. I pulled the driver side backup light bulb to see if the passenger side one just needed the bulb. When I put it back in the driver side the problem with it always being on with the lights went away.
