I'd honestly push for a GT especially if it's her daily. You can get good deals on 05/06 GT's. They get basically the same MPG and the upgraded brakes, suspension and rear end components(like posi-traction) make it a safer ride.

Good for her.

Here's a few pics of my '08 that has had minimal visible mods.

As delivered

New wheels and tires. They are the only visible mods on that car.

Other views. The new wheels/tires it isn't much different than when it was all-original.

Just to make another comment, one of the influences for me was the V6 Mustang being leased by one of my neighbors. It just looked like a really neat car.

And for two, it's a reasonable practical choice with a fairly useful trunk.

Thank you Tanner! I need to get better pictures lol.

And Josh, I have actually found my car more dangerous with the 8.8 over the 7.5, the 7.5 you couldn't fish tail or sling it sideways with the 8.8 you can ! LOL

i'd probably avoid 05 just for being the first year w some bugs that however may have been taken care of anyways, depends on the deal and available information about the vehicles history.

as far as colors, options try mustangattitude.com , besides tons of pictures they also have scans of all years orig sales and accessories brochures.

there are clearly no limits to any "modding" but again imo before spending any additional money for that rather upgrade to v8.

i like that statement...very true...i'll post up some pics of my 07 GT when i get home

Not sure what part of Virginia you're in, but I found this after a quick search:
