Default 06 Mustang Exhaust

Hey I have an 06 mustang and i am thinking about replacing my exhaust/muffler it is not a gt and it has a single pipe on the back. Im just looking for ideas for what to put on it and maybe somewhere to check out some different sounds. Also maybe some costs on what im looking to do or if it is even worth it with it not being a gt. Oh and with the idea im thinking the louder the better. Thanks.

Go to a muffler shop, have them take the muffler off and bend a pipe from where the muffler mounts to the back of the car.
then put a tip on it.
I did this to mine and I love it.

Way too noisy, at a minimum you need a resonator on it.

There are many after market exhaust you can choose from. With that said, I would highly recommend listening to different V6 exhaust set ups on Youtube. You can type in "Mustang" "v6" "single exhaust" or "dual exhaust" and try the following brands:

- SLP loudmouth
- FRPP
- GT Take off
- Pypes
- Borla
- Bassani
- Magnaflow
- MRT

Good luck!

Actually with the pipe going from the axle back it's not noisy at all.
I know it sounds terrible when you take the muffler off, but the extra foot of pipe changes the sound tenfold.
It's about as loud in the cab as it is in a GT with stock mufflers. Outside it sounds mean.

Have you considered putting duals on? You can purchase a V6 Dual Muffler setup from several companies. I went with Pypes that I bought from www.v6mustangstuff.com
You can also purchase a setup from Ford.... a little more expensive but very nice.

We carry quite a few different exhaust options for v6 Mustangs at UPR Products. You can check them out here:

Cost can vary depending on what you want done and if you have someone to do the installation for you.
My Dual conversion kit was $315.00, but worth every pennY!
