Default Tires help! Non DRs wider than 285?

I come to the conclusion that I dont want DRs cause of weather performance they're not good.. I just want the wide look tire.. Like a 295 or 305 but I can only find them in DRs... Anyone know where to find these?

Should we assume you've searched the usual websites like tirerack, 101, etc?

Also, what size wheel are you planning on using?

In an 18" you would go with 295/45/18 nitto 555's. Heavy as a ****, but gives you the look your after.

+1 they are heavy, you will feel it but they look great and have great traction for a street tire!

The Nitto 555R's actually have good traction in the rain. I ran them on my 01 for a couple years (several sets) and much better traction vs BFG KDW's

To truely know the tire widths, go to the manufacturers website and look up the specs for comparisons.

Yea I've googles gone to many different sites and I can't seem to find any.. And I'm looking to fit an 18in rim sorry.. The 295/45 nittos will they have a bigger sidewalk than my 255/45s I have in the front? and the nitto DRs I've read and heard a lot that they're not good in the rain at all from people who have had them and that worries me since I live central Florida and already hydroplaned once and saved it if honestly they're good in all weather I'd love to get them

All I can say is from my own experience. 555R's are better gripping int he rain than the BFG KDW's I had also in the rain. BFGs were sliding all over the place especially over the painted stop lines etc. 555Rs stuck much better.

Now people may say they dont grip in the rain but what are they comparing them too is whats important. Maybe they are comparing them to much better DR's or maybe a street all season radial?

They are comparing them too tires like the 555s and and tires like that not other DRs... They just said they slide and have no traction at all in the rain idk I really like them.. And they say they don't last long?

I have nearly 20,000 miles on my Nitto NT555's in 295/45 and it looks like I could get 40,000 more out of them, and they are good in the rain too, not fantastic but definitely not terrible by any means.
