I asked my insurance agent about that years ago.
The thought/belief/fallacy is that if you have poor credit then you are considered irresponsible with your finances. If you are considered Irrisponsible with your credit it's implied you will be an irresponsible driver or stressed out from your financial problems enough to affect good judgement...
It's a red herring argument at best. (Logic term) Or more to the point a "burden of proof" comparison.
They say the two are related yet no proof exists either way.

seems to be a negative also. Pay your bills and dont need
to borrow any money to have what you can afford and get
penilized by a fricken insurance company.
No claims and have never had one.
No reported tickets or traffic infractions.
$550/6 months for the stanger and $750/6 month for the Chally.
What a scam.
And the premiums have been paid on time for the last
15 years to the same insurance company and agent...
In CASH may I add.
