The cobalt ss/sc are under rated. Gm claims 205 hp that is true, but . I have seen 3 stock ss/sc put down 222 to 225 whp.. The cobalt suck **** on a dig. But from a 35 to 40 roll its pretty damn quick. Put some sticky tires on it it does real good from a dig. I had a 07 ss/sc, i really liked it.Gm sells a stage 1 and 2 kits for the car also thats about another 30 whp . I now have a 03 gt ,I love my gt also.

They're not that bad, just make sure you have a 32mm socket and away you go. Loads of cars have canister filters now, at least the Ecotec had them up top vs. down below, which really suck, especially with skid plates. (Toyota-I'm talking about you!!!!)

No offense but in my opinion I'd never buy a cobalt SS. If I were you I'd get an 05 GT it's a similar price range and you'll have a v8. If fuel economy is your thing get a prius.
