Antenna Question
Hey Guys,
Has anyone installed a retractable antenna on their mustang?
Is there even room in the fender for something like this?
If you have, could you include a pic of it installed and a link to purchase the antenna?
I have a 2006 V6 mustang with a GT front look.
Thanks.

i like electric / automatic antennas, no idea why so many decent cars use these cheap a$$ screw on stuff, actually thats probably why, cheap.
last time i went through some effort i actually put 2 electric bosch antennas on mt 64 skylark (yeah, only one was actually connected to the radio), probably 20 years ago, time flies by.....

Ya, I am aware of the differences. That is my mustang, but I have the GT look now. I haven't had time to update the photo.

I think it would be cool to have a retractable shorty antenna mounted on the rear.
I had a retractable one on my Buick years ago. After an ice storm, it froze the antenna and broke it so I paid $100 to replace it.

just kidding, been there, didn't like it, done with that.
but i guess there are downsided to it. i would assume "modern day" units (like the one on my 1989 crown vic) have some kind of clutch within in case it gets stuck for any reason.
