Dyno day at Brenspeed..
#11
Yea its great living close to brenspeed. My fiance and I managed to make it up there. We were able to watch this really nice shelby do a run on the dyno. Im not sure what he made but out of the corner of my eye I saw his intake compress. I looked at my fiance and said watch his intake when they do another pull. They did another pull and I'll be damned if his intake didnt collapse at what looked to be his elbow made of rubber. I was surprised. I dont think thats good but I could be mistakin. Anyway we walked around a little bit. I saw a few people that I knew and left.
As we were pulling out on the highway to older 5.0's were infront of us and the first one had to stop his car and do a burnout. Of course with pressure mounting to perform his burnout he stalled the car then got it started and popped the clutch. I told my fiance if you have to stop your car to do a good burnout you dont have a badass ride. I say this b/c i can lay out some rubber from a 20 roll.
I left my car at my parents house so my dad could drive my car there for there half price install specials for the month of november. Im having them put the stage 3 saleen on. Along with a belt tensioner and a bigger water pulley. Probably get a dyno run also. With my torque convertor and 410's this thing will be a beast. It already is but even more so when thats done.

There were a lot of nice cars and Brenspeed has a very impressive facility. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the fox bodies there as well. That was my first dyno day...loved it. It's like a car show without wondering if cars are as fast as they look. We were there with the red 93 Autokraft mustang that layed down 473 and the silver 04 cobra that made 561. BTW.......my 5.0 will spin at 40mph with DRs on the street...lol. I left that day wanting an 05+.....some were making silly power with little done!

I remember that silver cobra, had a whippe or kb sc right? awesome ride! yeah I bet you can burn em at 40 which is awesome, all that hp with such a light car, I bet your stangs flies man. I love the looks of the fox bodies when done right. they are just a little small for me lol.

The cobra is pretty much stock aside from a kenne bell 2.3, fuel system and exhaust...made over 700 on race gas tune..........and it still drives like bone stock until you put your foot in it, over 20mpg and air conditioning. The 05+ mustangs are definitely in a whole different league from my 93.....so much easier to make big power and by for more sophisticated. My old man has an 06 GT that he's only racked up 12k miles on. He's getting ready to sell.....that's what I'm waiting for. Did you happen to see the twin turbo Monte Carlo max out the dyno.......craziness!!
