Will they total this or not?!?!?!

It looks totaled to me man. But glad to see you're okay.. Had two totaled vehicles of my own, both trucks so I went with a smaller target. Start looking around and let us know how things are going. Best of luck!

Who knows depending on your insurance. My brothers friend wrecked his C6 corvette into a ditch like so and it had 18,000$ worth of damage. Instead of paying off the 30,000$(he just got the vette) they decided to spend the 18k and fix it. I mean this car was ****ed up but yet they still fixed it. Depending on what your insurance does though....they might try to screw you.

Wow, that sucks man. I just read your build thread earlier. Glad to see you are ok though. Anyway, I think its totaled, which sucks. You would have done just as much damage with the deer most likely though.

an escort? what lol....
if it was 3 feet to the right I would have hit it sideways... that woulda sucked...
im being or trying to be positive, so none of that!
nope car is paid for.
yeah the guy told me he was at 61% and they hadnt included work on the frame yet.
Thanks man.. I want another one really bad! I am thinking premium brembo and nav this time though...
thanks man.
yeah it will be in the high $20,000s in fixing it for sure.

Totaled. Glad to see you walked away from something like that. Airbags deployed, and the energy from the collision was dispersed around you through the vehicle.
The initial estimate you receive is from a visual inspection. When the body shop get their hands on it and take it apart, they will certainly find hidden damage and contact the insurance company and they will give you a more exact estimate.
Plus, you have the base model, so the overall MSRP is lower than a premium so you're that much closer to having the vehicle totaled because the damage has to exceed more then 75% of the value of the vehicle.

I remember when my dad wrecked his 89 honda Si, it booked for like 2500, but instead they hopped on Auto trader and found one in the area for like 1500 so thats what they gave him for it. its why I dont trust insurance companies. Although Geico has been very good to me, but I have never had a major claim.

I would have to concur with most of the posters; it looks totaled. The engine looks to be damaged, body work will be a few thousand alone, and with all the little miscellaneous repairs adding up, it doesn't look good. I think you have a new expensive paper weight.
I live in Indiana and have hit one once. Luckily I was driving my gfs car at the time. haha. She wanted me to drive because she doesn't like driving in the dark. Oh the irony. I saved most of the car though, I was able to swerve and keep it under control where it only hit the front corner.
I put HIDs on my mustang and I cannot tell you the number of times it has prevented me from hitting night-time animals as I can see them in the field before they even enter the road.
I am very surprised by this. I don't think that is entirely legal. Using some internet price (especially on auto-trader as these are typically personal ads) is no indication of the value of the car. Insurance should at the very least give you the worth of the car. Anyone can find a cheap running car, that doesn't mean your car is any less valuable.
What if the insurance company found an ad from a rich guy who wanted to brighten someone's day and posted the same car for $1. Does the insurance suddenly only owe you $1 for your totaled car? I don't think so.

That is the reason I hate them. They screw over so many people. I had to deal with them in two claims, one they didn't even pay on after they took fault and the other they tried to REPLACE my 2007 F150's frame with only 47,000 miles on it with some frame they had left in their lot of misfit vehicles.
Needless to say, I can't stand them..
But mtflyboy25, sounds good to me. I would probably go for that too but I would be looking to lower and change wheels and audio ASAP so I would just get a base model but I believe that's what you already have/had.. Correct?
