Default 2011/12 GT Cabin Air Noise Hose??

OK I saw a shop looking at this 2 yrs ago and it comes to mind now since Im looking at it on my car, but there is a black hose from the intake going to the cabin because the car was to quiet when made? Can you delete this?

Yes it could be removed. This tube brings engine noise into the cabin....remove the sound filter on the firewall and start the car up....sounds mean inside the car....especially under full throttle.

I mean removing the tube completely, would rather it be quieter on the inside anyway

Why? Would drive me nuts as well. I want my music loud inside the cabin, not the noise, engine or otherwise.

And yes, in that vein I still don't get the need for loud exhaust. So long as I'm not sacrificing performance, I want that shiznat as quiet as it can be, rolling out at 4am for a 7-11 run is not something I like waking the dead for. Make fun all ya like, I just don't get the need to be loud for no other reason than to be loud.
