Definitely going 20 or darker. I was only offered 35,20,5 at the shop in my town so Im just going to choose from them. Now Im not sure to get 20 or 5 again? I drive at night but only once a week for a long distance otherwise its around town. Im used to driving a highlander and you can't really see out the back of that anyway. Im just feeling that if Im going to do it then I minds well go all the way. By the way I was quoted $235 for the tint in any darkness, is that an average price?

Hey man if you dont mind me asking, what part of NJ are you in? Are you close to staten island cause I have a shop out here that will hook you up for $150 any % you want. And they computer cut the tint, unlike some shops that do it by hand with a razor blade

outta your choices i'd say 20 all around, its dark enough that it'll pretty much be black plus you have a dark interior right? cuz it'll make the tint seem darker as well. 30 really fluctuates darkness with diff angles, 20 is pretty consistent at all angles which is def a plus, and imo 5 would just be too dark to run on a dd, just my opinion tho.
and the price is slightly above avg. mine was 170 with good quality computer cut tint and life time warranty

Yes, I have a black leather interior. This shop was computer cutting the tint also but they are known to have high prices on their service.

I had Limo tint (5%) on my Vette and loved it but I got tickets for it all the time since legal in VA is 50% Front and 35% Back. My Mustang I decided to go with 35% front and 20% back to cut down on traffic stops. I wish I could go back to limo because it is SO much better. Believe it or not I have already been pulled over and tested with 35% on the front. The reader showed 26% so hello ticket from the **** state....

+1 IMO... I saw them sitting side by side and It was a no brainer to me. I usually drive with the windows down anyhow. When I see a cop I will generally drop them almost all the way down just to be sure, but I've only been pulled over 1 time in the last 6 years for it... and it was by an undercover looking vehicle grrr...

Some food for thought: If you're worried about getting a ticket as delusiondejavu did, you should realize that our windows are very lightly tinted from the factory. Putting 35% on, (which is legal in Ct) yeilded a 29% on my side windows...which is probably why the ***** gave you a ticket. I also would love to have a darker tint, but my Torch Red 'Stang gets enough attention as it is.

I went with 35% in front and 20% in back. Looks great and you don't have to constantly have to worry about getting pulled over. You don't want to have that in the back of your head every time you cruise. 5% is just asking for cops to F with you.
