Default 2013 GT 500

This is one amazing car. It even comes with a carbon fiber driveshaft.

The new GT500 is awesome in every way. I like the mechanical improvements on the GT, but that front is U G L Y. The grill protrudes out too far... looks like an anteater.

I think Ford has definitely worn out the retro look. I'm actually excited for a new direction for 2014.

I'm not going to say ugly, but it reminds me a little too much of the (dare I say) late 70's era mustangs/pintos.

Talk about a trump on the ZL1. Heck, the engine outperforming a vette? And with less displacement too

I thought the ZL1 was going to give the GT500 trouble, I think the GT500 will smoke the ZL1, Z06 and maybe the ZR1. The only thing that might hurt the GT500 is the small back tires compared to the chevys 315 rear tires. We'll see what happens next year.

Ironic that apparently the ZL1 chief engineer is saying "you're welcome" to Ford, for giving Ford something to have to pursue and innovate after. Ironic, since Ford has been out-doing the camaro year after year with these new engines, better quality, and more old school styling than the Camaro. I just don't see all the love for the Camaro.

The camaro isn't such a bad car, I had a 81 Z28, 88 IrocZ and a 96 Z28. The only problem with the camaro's are they weight to much. I'm not saying I would pick the camaro over the current Mustang, but give the camaro credit. It's a fun muscle type car but, it's to heavy and the Mustang will spank it every time!! Also wanted to note as you stated it keeps the Mustang on it's toes!!

Now let's just take all the internals from the 2013 GT500, and throw it on a nice 07-09 GT500 and we'll call it a day.

That would be a sexy car.

Oh don't get me wrong, overall I have no beef against the Camaro, I do enjoy seeing them when I'm driving around because I know what's under the hood, and I know they do look pretty good in my opinion.

There were really only 3 major things that bothered me about the current generation camaro and they were

1) Interior quality felt sub par compared to the mustang currently
2) When you're inside of there it feels like you can't see anything, the blind spots going on in that car were horrendous.
3) It's just heavy

But it does indeed keep the competition around, although from my perspective the Mustang has been the one needing catching up to lol. After all the mustang was around for those years when the camaro couldn't cut it

I don't really have Ford/Chevy/Dodge brand loyalty myself though, I'm proud of my mustang, but at the same time I love the camaro and challenger a whole lot too, even the charger revision these days
