Default 2006 Mustang GT rear end clicking noise

wow, ok finally got to where I can post a question. I have a 2006 Mustang GT with 46,000 miles on it. I have a clicking noise coming from the rear that is starting to get louder. It is only noticeable when I am slowing down, off the throttle, does not matter if I am in gear or not. I've check the diff and changed the oil. Same with the transmission. Any ideas on what it can be?

Did you check the brakes?

No I have not tried that, I've looked at the rotors, but dont see anything that stands out. What will I be looking for?

If its coming from the wheel itself, then it could be the TPMS band or sensor bracket coming loose.

I looked at the brakes, they are worn and need to be replaced. As for the TPMS from my understanding those did not come on the Mustangs until 2007, and mine is a 2006 so I would not have them.

I'm wondering if it might be the needle bearings in the driveline? any ideas?

if it happens just before coming to a complete stop, then its probably your stock upper control arm. I believe it uses a 14mm bolt in a 16mm hole, or some measurement like that. as you slow down, the bolt shifts a little and causes a knock.
