IMO, stock mufflers and o/r x pipe wont sound as good as stock mufflers with o/r h pipe.
but who knows, you might like it.

get the pacesetter o/r x pipe. matching name brands with LT's and midpipe asures better fitment.

Yes, you do have to replace the entire handle if your main brake cable is busted. Its far more likely that the rear brake cables are busted, a known issue on these cars.

I bought a new handle for my new-to-me 05 GT and it turned out to be the rears instead. Got the GT500 Leather one, so I'm not too upset at the wasted money.
