Should I paint rear valance myself?

Should I paint rear valance myself?
I'm gonna buy the GT500 rear valance for my V6 within the next two or three weeks. I wanna get the top portion of it painted black to match the body color. Is there any way I can paint it myself or is it something that should be done professionally? If I could do it myself, what products should I use? Thanks in advance.

Have someone else paint it.
It would end up being pricey to paint it yourself, and you most likely won't end up being happy with it. So then you will have to pay even more to have a pro re-do it.
I painted a spot on my rear bumper. It looks decent, but in HID headlights you can really see where it is not as smooth as the factory paint and that is a much smaller section than painting the whole bumper.

Do you mean the whole bumper? Or are you talking about painting the valence plastic below?
There are several people here that did their lower valence themselves, and it turned out pretty good (one guy had a black car too, and it looked stellar). But if you are talking about painting the ENTIRE rear bumper yourself, no, I suggest you have it professionally done man. The paint matching alone is an art, and many don't have the tools to make a good quality paint job that will last.

I had some problems with my front bumper, I had to wetsand it, and you can still see the spot where I need to hit it with a buffer really good.
