Then you don't need it.
The factory solution to using a front license plate (as required in many states) is to drill holes into the bumper itself. If you show your car on weekends or have times where you don't want the plate on the front, removing the factory brackets leaves nasty holes that are impossible to repair temporarily.
This bracket mounts to the rear of the front bumper instead of to the front (like the factory options) thus eliminating the nasty looking holes from the OEM mount.
