Has anyone seen an S197 convertible rollover where the A pillar did NOT collapse like that?
I think they all will, without a rollbar I doubt they can withstand so much weight being put on them...

OK... Glad you are OK. But I wonder what if the '05 had a ESC... Catch my drift? LOL

It's hard to say if you can survive hitting a deer. A good friend of ours was driving home one evening when she hit a deer. It rolled over her hood into the windshield killing our friend. She left behind two young boys and a husband. She was driving a Toyota Pickup Truck.

But that is a pretty bad crash, yikes. First rule of convertible ownership should be; buy a roll bar.
If I had a vert, a roll bar would be the first thing I bought for the car.

I wonder why Mustangs do not come with a rollbar or something like that just like other convertibles do... Its either saving money or they think that A-pillars are sturdy enough... I do not want to find out... But it surely stops me from taking my car to a track...

Holy crap! Thats one lucky dude. We have ALOT of deer here in Texas. Had one jump out in front of the car this past spring, but instead of swerving, I stood on the breaks, layed on the horn, and went for him. Missed him by inches because he decided to jump one more time.
