Does plasti dip hurt the underlying surface?

Nope, protects it actually. And if you want to make the plastidip look glossy and more shiny just spray on a layer or two of clearcoat. Did it on my friends car and it looks great.

If they are already black, why would you plasti dip them? lol

I know I know, sounds dumb lol, but I always wondered how they would look in flat black as opposed to gloss black.

OP - Looks good.

I'm looking to get hood spears for my Kona Blue, MCA V6. Where are yours from?

Thanks.

Just got them on Ebay - forget which supplier, but go do a search on there and you'll quickly find them from a company that charges 19 for a set and has great customer feedback. they are tricky to put on - be very careful about the air bubbles. pain in the ***. they didn't send me a squeegee like the directions said they should have. but they do look nice.

matte black looks so much better than gloss black imo. the matte black from plasti dip was exactly the color I was hoping for. I really can't say enough about it - and no, i'm not a plasti dip salesman
