Powdercoating is 50 a rim usually. My friends look great. You have to.bring them without tires because they cook them.

I'd stay with the 275 45 18's since they are at the max height you'd want on the Mustang at 27.7"

I'd go with a lighter wheel if you're thinking of new ones, the GT500 wheels are heavy, or at least the ones for the 07-09 GT500's were, like 32 lbs each. I'd get a 38mm off set 9x18 wheel, really light to make up for the taller tire mass and slower rotational penalty of the taller tires. The 38mm off set should put the 275's nice and flush with the fenders.

I'm assuming that your speedometer is adjusted to your tall 275/45/18 tires. Erik

That's a fact jack!

Both wheel selections will look good mad, although I would lean toward the anthracite fr's myself.
275+ up front is a no go imo...too much meat up front.
255's are perfect up front. Staggered go with a 285, with your drop they will look perfect...see d'prived, about the same setup.
295's will be too heavy for the v6, don't go there.

I had 275s all around on bullitts from Cruizin Concepts and they drove great. They also filled out the wheel well a lot more than yours seem to now so if that's your major concern, I would look at the offset rather than the tire width.

I would personally do a 255/285 staggred set up. Saves money and weight on front tires and still looks badass

Thanks everyone! I'm at 275's all around right now and the handling with the goodyear eagle F1s and the lowered stance is just perfect for my daily driving. I believe I'll do 275 all around next go around or maybe as Alec said, a 255/285 staggered to save a little money. I'd like to possibly grab some fr500s in anthracite but idk yet. I guess I'll be thinking about possible new wheels for the next couple of weeks.

I LOVE my GT500 wheels. I was considering deep dish gunmetal Cobra R's. Then I was driving thru a parking lot and saw the GT500's on another Vista and knew I wanted them. The ones from AM have a 30 offset and I am kicking up alot of rocks. And that is with 255/45/18 all the way around. I got the Eagle F1's, they are great.

I don't think you could go wrong with either wheel.

Here is a link to my original choice, I still think I might try them when it is time to get new tires:

I'm running 275's all around and if I had to do it over I'd do 255's front and 285's rear. The 275's up front tramline something fierce on even slighty truck-worn roads, to the point of being a royal PITA besides scarey at times.

As far as rotation, I don't do a lot of burnouts and after 26,000 miles on my Goodyear Eagle's with NO TIRE ROTATION, they're wearing incredibly even. Chew on THAT before deciding to not stagger just so you can rotate.

In my experience with not beating up on my car all the time, staggered you shouldn't have to change out the fronts until you're on your third set of rears. I only have to get new fronts because these performance tires will dry rot and get cracks in between the tread and on the sidewalls after a few seasons of use.
In the end, it's the same cost going staggered as if you had all the same size and rotated; at least in my experience it has been.

Thanks Nuke and Ricardo. I have noticed tramlining especially around construction zones, and you're right, sometimes it can get a little scary when you get stuck in those grooves. Hotwheel, I am becoming more and more of a fan of your machined gt500s but if I do go 255/285, what wheel depth should I be going with? will 18x9s/18x10s be sufficient on 255s and 285s? I would expect not...

And those gunmetal cobra deep dishes look amazing! But at $113 a wheel I have to start questioning their quality... Makes me nervous seeing a wheel look so good but cost so little.
