Default Thinking about taking the plunge

Hey everyone!

After drolling over mustangs I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a used 2007 Shelby GT500 Coupe. It has less than 10,000 miles, looks new, and has a clean car fax.

My questions... Was 2007 an OK year for the Shelby GT500? Am Imissing out on tons of performance / handling changes between 2007 and the later models? I know I'm giving up on some of the creature comforts like navigation but is the driving experience similiar?

Thanks guys!

Aaron

I should have mentioned the price. They're asking $34,000.

I wish! $35 is about my max. I've been debating a new 2012 GT Premium or an older Shelby GT500. Then I ran across this seemingly like-new Shelby but it's a 2007.

Ive heard people having this choice, some tried the 2012's, then a 07 or so gt500
they took the GT500 and never looked back

That's what I figured. I'm leaning towards the GT500 and am mostly wondering if I'd be doing OK with an '07.

I say go for it! Sure, you're giving up the chance of being the first owner of a GT but owning a Shelby is a whole different experience. I'd take a used Shelby GT500 over a new GT any day.

I started looking around for a mustang, preferably a GT500 in 2010. Found a used 2008 with very low mileage (1400), bought it and never looked back. After a year and a half I'd do it the same way. I don't think you can go wrong with the GT500!

I agree. I love my GT, don't get me wrong, but it's only a matter of time (and not much of it) before I jack up the radiator cap and slide a GT500 under it!

If it's a nice car that you like, I would absolutely pull the trigger on it.
