Default Rear GT/CS bumper owners, I want to see your jerry-rigging!

Ok so those of us "unfortunate" enough to own a CS but "fortunate" enough to get a rear CS bumper have to deal with making the middle tab work. I can't imagine a reason why Ford made CS any different than any other GT just for a rear bumper, but it is. Washing the car today I realized how flimsy it is without the middle tab and have been trying to think of a way or to create a bracket to make the tab work.

So how did you guys make it work?

Also if anyone looks at this with a real CS I would like to see just how different the bumper tab hookup is. So a pic will be appreciated.

Ill appreciate that! The body shop that installed it could not find how to hook it up, this guy here in his installation guide says that the middle tab will not work on GT http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-foru...-cover.736023/

I also read somewhere else it will not work either. But I'm hoping that someone will show me otherwise.

Oh and that's a nice pdf install guide you created! Really helpful!

The body shop that installed mine didn't indicate there was any problem with mine. It was the rear bumper kit that came with the mounting hardware... I guess I need to have a chase vehicle behind me one day to see.

D

I guess my car is an exception. Or maybe I got a bumper from a defective mold lol, or it was changed for some reason throughout the years?

Either way you can see when I press the tab down onto the bracket there is no hole. To use the nearest hole I would have to twist the tab beyond what that plastic will be able to take, so that's not an option.

Guess im getting the drill out?
