How exactly do you tune one? Ive seen like a flash programmer recommended but wouldn't know how about to go in starting to do this. I want to order a bbk with tuner. Does it come with instructions or anything or am i already suppose to know wth im doing lol.
For example:

If you buy a tuner from americanmuscle, you'll need to know your computer code (found on the side of your pcm) and a knowledge of the other mods you have on the car. Then you'll tell them what kind of tunes do you want? Upon my last check 4 years ago when I bought my cai/tuner, they had 87 street, 91 performance, and 93 race. Its up to you what kind of tunes you'd like, but I believe you get three to start with and can be eligible for free updated tunes for life... if I'm wrong, someone correct me here.

I ended up going with the Ford Racing CAI and a A SCT X3 tuner from Brenspeed and was well pleased. I have their 87, 89 and 93 octane tunes and all worked well. I'm selling my car and will be removing the CAI kit and returning the car to stock. If you might be interested in a lightly used CAI and SCT tuner with Brenspeed tunes send me a PM.
