Black chrome MUSTANG lettering installed!
Spend the day working on this...
Started out and bought the Scott Drake MUSTANG lettering from CJ pony parts.
They come with pins on the back for install on older model mustangs, but of course I'm not drilling holes in the hood.
So I grabbed some wire cutters and clipped them. Then grabbed a drill bit with the grindstone stuff on it (yea yea idk what it's called.) and made the prongs flush.
Picked up some Dupicolor Shadow paint and went to town. I'm somewhat impressed with how it came out.
Picked up some 3M/Scotch Indoor/Outdoor Emblem paste or whatever, used to put emblems on exterior of cars.
Tried a few different measurements on how I wanted them on the hood, it was tricky, but I like how it looks.
Anyways, here's pics!

I'm not trying to stomp on your post man but I gotta be honest, I don't like it.
First, there is no way to center it up on the hood so there are different numbers of letter on each side of the hood. Second, it doesn't arc with the front of the hood. I think they would look better across the back od the decklid. But if you dig it, that is all that matters.

CAR, you're not the only one that thinks this is a bad idea. Not trying to rain on your parade kput but this doesn't look like a good idea. You have a nice vehicle, please re-think this. If you're 110% set on doing this than more power to you but I think it's a bad idea. Maybe see how they work on the rear, I've seen that done and it turned out OK. I'm just not much for the "Mustang" lettering to mimic the "Shelby" lettering.

I have to agree with the posters above. If "Mustang" only had 6 letters instead of 7, it might not have looked so out of place. Even if you centered the T on the crease (which would be hard to do) it still would look odd.
Good thing you didn't drill holes or put Loctite on there! But hey, it's your car and if you like it then that's all that matters.
