Just got a 2011 GT, couple questions
I just traded my 2003 gt for a 2011 GT. Any random tips that i should know for this new car?
One thing i have a question about is the drivers seat adjustment, i cant seem to adjust the front of the seat up or down... it clicks and sounds like it tries to do something but it doesnt move. The front of the seat is adjustable according to the manual so i think something is wrong.
anyone else have this issue?
hers a pic
also, whats the best mods for the money for these new 5.0's?

Yeah, low MPG's due to inability stay off the gas... having 412 ponies just sucks.
As for your problem, sound like you may have something stripped in that seat. Iv never messed with an electric seat but you should be able to get the part from your local dealer, however your probably under warranty still, so i would make a trip to your local dealer.

If you have elec. seats, the parts to the tracks are not available to be bought individually. The entire rack must be replaced. It is a warranty item if you are still under the warranty. I had to have two replaced in my '11 when I first bought it.
Sounds like a motor went out. On mine, the seat would go forward but not back......

Andy,
Great car/color choice! Is it a 6-spd manual or auto? How many miles?
I am considering selling my 2011 GT Premium 6-spd in Sterling Matallic Grey with Brembo Brake Package and stock 3.73 gears. Has 12,200 miles and very well cared for.
I have only had 1 minor problem covered by warranty. Best wishes!

I think im going to get the borla S type when i can afford it. Although i drove a 5.0 with the roush exhaust and it sounded really great and its alot cheaper.. that makes it a hard choice.
Whats considered the best mods that dont void the warrantee?

this is discussed rather often but they can't void your warranty for a mod .. but they can sure as hell deny a claim if they truly believe the mod lead to the failure, which may void your power train warranty in the end.
if you swap your suspension and your engine blows, chances are, your engines' still covered under warranty.
if you're looking for more ponies .. well, there really aren't many to be found short of entering the grey area, that some are comfortable with, and some are not.
personally, I am just doing a no-tune intake and a cat back exhaust and calling it good for now. no real power to be had out of it, just sound and negligible gains. this is my comfort level that I feel I can reasonably get away with
once you tune the car, that's when you're gambling, and just about everything that adds power requires a tune : ) you will hear varying opinions on work arounds and the safety level, but I'd rather commit to accepting 'gotta pay to play' before I take the plunge myself.
