Yor're "thinking" of selling you'r car? Given your reasons stated, I'd just keep it.

1. Want to sell for $12,000? They go for around that here; in excellent or mint condition. Also, cars are substantially less expensive your-side of the border. I think you'd be lucky to get that, given you'r 'good' condition and milage.

2. If you keep your current car, you can spend you 20-23k elsewhere. You're still in school, do you need a car payment again?

3. You could continue DD'ing your current car, or buy a beater to daily drive, and make your current car your weekend/ fun car.

4. No comment

5. Since powers not a priority, why even upgrade? Hell, for slice of that 23k, you can add some good power to your sixer.

6. Well keeping your current car dosent really help much, but buying a body kit or even some nice wheels will really change you'r mind.

Its up to you in the end, but I'd say: Buy a cheap (inexpensive not sh*tty) daily driver, drop a bit of cashola on your current stang to spice it up, and bank the rest for a rainy day, because it will come..

^ What he said. If power is no priority, then upgrading to a 2010 GT would be purely because of looks. Also, with power not a priority, I'd get a 10 GT over a Termi because of the ride, and I'd feel so terrible ruining a Termi in the New England winters.

If you're not concerned with power, why would you even want a Cobra? The Cobra's make GOBS of power everywhere. But a Cobra would not be a good DD. Just cause the gas mileage and you must use premium everyday. I had New Edges though and I must say they were comfy rides...not sure what one of the other posters are talking about how they rode like crap...considering the Cobra even has IRS and the S197's don't.

But to me, If I were you, I'd just keep your current car or get a 2010 V6 if you really like the look of the 10-12 models better. Buying a GT is a waste if you don't really care about going fast.

Ok I probably never should of said I dont care about power, I do like powerful cars, I drive my dads jaguar XK around and that is a lot of fun. I will most likely end up getting a 2010 GT I do like the look of them and I prefer a nicer ride. Also I really dont want to keep my current car and add upgrades to it, I love my car but the mustang I always wanted was one with a manual and a V8.

Maybe you were referring to me and maybe I was generalizing to much. Compared to the 2010 and up Mustangs, the 04 Cobra's ride is not as comfortable. It's just my personal opinion. Maybe because I have a maxed out 2010, but even the leather seats are better, basically the whole dang interior for daily driving is better.I've heard this from many guys though coming from that new edge style to the current ones. The ride is considerably better! I'm talking just riding around, cruising with the wife comfortable. No rattles, no creeks, just smooth baby!

I cant comment on the 2010 stang. But I have a 08 Bullitt and a 03 vert Cobra. The cobras clutch is heavy as hell, premium fuel, makes noises while youre driving down the road, chugs the gas especially in boost
but the seats are nice, always get compliments on it and how mean it is, its a sleeper to most people.
My 08 is so comfortable, the clutch is so easy, it shifts smooth as butter, gets high 20s mpg on highway to work.
but its plain looking and not very fast compared to the Cobra at all. considering I just have minor bolt ons on the Cobra.
Hope this helps your search for a DD!

IMO, the key words are "Daily Driver"
bc of the DD stipulation, the 2010 GT would be the better choice bc of its creature comforts and just being newer.
if you think the 2010 GT is better made than the 03-04 Cobras, think again.
give your new Mustang another 8-10 years and it will rattle too.
these Mustangs are made by Ford, not Mercedes Benz. the fit and finish is not the greatest.
and sooner or later the rattles will begin. i can almost guarantee it.
and the clutch is heavier bc it is cable not hydraulic like the S197.

now if this was a weekend fun car, the Terminator wins, hands down!
it is a better Mustang any way you look at it:
built motor
set up for FI, and easily upgradable
better clutch
T56 6 speed trans
IRS rear end
suspension
4V heads

if you find a good, low mileage, nearly stock Terminator, buy it.

Well you kinda answered your own question it sounds like to me. 1. The terminators REQUIRE premium fuel if I'm not mistaking (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

And to #5, if power is not an option then go with the 2010. The terminator has more power, and you like the looks of the 10-12 you said too.

Well that wasn't complicated or hard to explain. Free regular gas is cheaper than premium at the pump. In any case, you can't get a terminator if you aren't willing to pay for premium gas.
