Default O/R H installed... now car sounds horrible!

Hey everyone. I recently installed my Pacesetter O/R H pipe on my 2005 GT which already had flowmasters welded in when i purchased it..after the install the car sounds absolutely HORRIBLE. I've ran this set up on all the mustangs i've ever owned and they all sounded great...at ~2500 it gets extremely loud and raspy...it's comparable to a car with straight exhaust and an O/R H pipe...i've watched videos on youtube and none of the ones with a similar setup sounds this way...i'll try to get a video later this evening (i'm at work right now)..anyone ever had this issue? there's no exhaust leaks just sounds like the mufflers are gutted..i've "read" about broken baffles in Flowmasters but i've never seen/heard one in person...could this issue cause it??...any help is appreciated!

Just figured it out...took a flashlight and looked into the tailpipe, and can see all the way to the inlet of the muffler. Looks like the previous owner had the 3 Chamber flows GUTTED! Why some people are allowed around cars, i'll never know. Thanks for the views anyway people!

Haha what's the point of buying a flow to have it gutted?? If you don't like them that much take them off and sell them. Jeez haha.

a few of my friends had flows on a S197 and the baffles blew right out within a year.

Do yourself a favor and throw those Flowmasters right into the trash. Get some pypes mid mufflers or some Borla stingers. I know the flows sounded great on the 2valves, but they sound horrible on the s197.

Never been a fan of straight-through style mufflers. I've always been a fan of the chambered. I heard a guys setup on here with 1-chambers (which is what I have on my Cobra) and they sound awesome. It'll sound really good when I do cams here in a few weeks. Thanks for your input though!

Good luck dude....the 3v exhaust is tough to get right. I'm still working on mine.

They weren't gutted. They rotted out. Same thing happened to mine.
