Default Why not to street race

A street race gone wrong was captured on video and posted to YouTube.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 2:51 a.m. Sunday.

On the video, posted by Jonathan Valencia, two cars can be seen side by side on Gandy Boulevard in Pinellas County.

Valencia says suddenly a third car came over the bridge at a high speed, rear-ended one of the stopped cars, and then flipped over.

"I can't even describe it," Valencia said. "It was just crazy. When I was filming, you can see me drop the camera because all the metal, glass, plastic, everything just flew everywhere. It was like a bomb went off."

"I just looked to the right and saw this car just going by and I thought that he was going to stop eventually," said another witness, Elbin Muniz, "but no hesitation, no brakes or anything, he just straight up plowed into the back of that car."

It appears no one was badly hurt. According to FHP, both drivers fled on foot.

The road was blocked for several hours.

Troopers are still investigating the crash. Aside from the YouTube video Valencia posted, troopers are also looking at a second video for clues.

Nothing good happens after midnight. Especially when it involves "street trash".

"Came over the bridge" as in these guys were setup right after an overpass? What the hell did they think was gonna happen.

Guys, if you are gonna do this, at least find a stretch of road somewhere out in the middle of bum**** egypt, where there isn't a bunch of traffic...

Honda Civic vs. drunk driver. Drunk driver won with 100mph passing finish line, Honda Civic 2mph maybe? That is a f***ing JOKE...

And yeah, that's why I dun race on the street. ^0^

Isn't there a law now where if you're caught street racing you get your car impounded and get your license taken away? I remember reading about California crushing any car that was caught street racing a few years back

Also, that seems retarded they were doing it on a highway and not some dead end or back road. Also at nearly 3am. Smh

I think it's only state laws that say that so only in certain states. This apparently happened in Florida.
