Thumbs up pricing!!!!what to do?

personally i would throw a super charger on it. 2010 to 2013 is not much change to the body! and you could make that 10' look damn good and fast. i personally would not throw the money away just to have a 13' i have an 11' GT conv. and i love it. but this is my first Mustang, and i do like the 13's but i am not going to throw the money away just cause. i am doing little things here and there to make it my own, and as soon as i can afford a SC it will have one. thats a lot of monety to spend on a hood, bumper, tail lights, and a little more HP. but thats just my opinion.....good luck with what ever you choose, because altimately it will be you to decide.....

Just get a 2012 off the lot. Not sure why you would spend extra on the 2013 unless you prefer the new styling but since you are contemplating building the 2010 I don't think that's the case. I got my 2011 GT/CS off the lot for 32k out the door in June of 2010. Also, did you say you still owe 21k on the 2010? If so you will most likely be upside down on your loan and you need to factor that in as well.

Use http://TrueCar.com to build and price your new stang to see what others in your zip code have paid and what invoice is etc. Really helps to know what a good price and their cost (not considering they get incentives and rebates not counted in the invoice) is.

they do not have 2013 data yet. ford is odd in how early they release next-year models.

Well so far I've called 2 different dealerships to see what they said, and the 2nd dealership has already 3 2013's pre-ordered and submited with the money and everything. they said i would have my 2013 in 6-8 weeks if I ordered it now.

Anyways, I got my car appraised and they would @ most now, because I haggled a bit, give me 22,500 for mine, and also renew the warrenty on mine, to put on the newer one. So your saying, get the 2012? Do you think Bolt-on's with a suspension/exhaust will make it feel like a 5.0 with the same modifications? does the .4 liters of an engine make that much of a difference or does the 412 hp make that much of a difference. I did drive a 5.0 and yeah, it does feel alot quicker. I do have 3.73 gears in mine and it came with a bullit exhaust and pierelli's. What kind of compression ratio's does the 5.0 use in comparison to the 4.6? And also, what if I forged my pistons and then tuned the 4.6 to a higher output with a better compression ratio? bottom line, build up my 2010, or get a 2012 @ this point since getting a 2013 is out of the question.

Narbz24, if you are wondering how to build out your 2010, it has a lower compression ration than the 5.0, and is much friendlier to Supercharging. Your 2010 is compatible with all the great Supercharger technology developed for the 4.6 platform since 2004.

There are great supercharger kits with all related supporting parts unsold and available for drastically reduced prices in various clearance sales, through performance shops, on e-bay and craigslist. You can easily have a car that still weighs less than the 2011's, is 500+ horses ect..suspension easily taken past 2011 with about 2500 bucks with shopping a bit.

If you really have to have the 2013, the newest thing-thing, and understand the investment loss on trading out cars every 3 years, then I'd wait on the 2013, until they are priced competitively, or as you mention, more logically, walk away with a great deal on a beautiful, new, 2012 or even 2011.

Take some Advil for the 2013 GT fever. I'll be taking my Advil for the 2013 GT500 until about 2 years from now when they are marked down right before the 2015 new model re-design is released in late spring of 2014, then I'll buy, instead of living in older(but incredible) model denial like I am now. Erik

+1 on supercharging...

the 315hp 4.6L you have can easily put out an extra 80-100 WHP over the stock 5.0, safely, without building up the internals. Good for around 450whp, then you're pushing it beyond that. That's low/mid 500 crank hp

I love reliable N/A power but there's always something about boosted cars that is a complete blast to drive. The sound is really cool for me. It still drives like stock until 3k rpm (I have a centri, takes a bit longer) then it slams you back in your seat.

But it sounds like you really want the newest updated model... sounds very expensive to keep buying new cars. good luck with your decision

edit: for the entire kit they range from $4-6k plus another $1k or so for install and tuning. Really not bad for the beast it turns into
