Default 2011 + gt handling upgrades, coilovers?

Anyone get the coilovers offered by american muscle?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustan...kits-1112.html

Would I need anything to go along with these? Caster camber plates mabe?

What would be the best suspension mods for the $?

I notice the suspension is soft,, lots of front rise under throttle and dive under braking. I also notice i top out the suspension when i go over a raised intersection at ~50 mph - makes a wierd bump noise.

Any suggestions, thoughts, or recommendations are appreciated.

why are you going through a raised intersection at 50mph

I would give Sam Stranos a call @ http://www.stranoparts.com/ . he is a forum vendor here and he is extremely knowledgeable about all things suspension, he's not just a part slinger, he's a track junky. if you define your goals and budget to him he can point you in the right direction!! he took some time with me to not only suggest parts but to break down everything on a easy to understand technical level. he even pushed me away from buying parts I thought were necessary.

he's great and very honest. I am going to be buying a pieced together setup from him soon. I am going for a mild drop (~1inch), steeda sport springs, koni str. t shocks and struts, gt500 front strut mounts and a UMI (1044) panhard bar.

you should give him a call though he'd be glad to give you information if nothing else.

unless you are autocrossing, coilovers are overkill IMO.
if you are using this for DD, no need for coil overs.
the bump noise is probly the strutmounts, they are known for being not so good.

good drop springs, shocks/struts, panhard bar, and c/c plates should do it.

Which UMI panhard bar are you going with?

I may do a simular setup with tokiko d specs which are adjustable instead of the koni's. Havent ruled out the konis though yet for sure.

Also, do you not need caster camber plates?

Is your setup installed yet?

it's not even ordered yet. I am probably another month out or so from suspension stuff.

I am okay with camber around -1.5 and under, and I don't believe the drop level I am after is going to push me beyond that, so for my application and needs, I don't need caster/camber correction. definitely talk to Sam to get the full run down on this area.
