Default 2005 mustang gt vibration between 2-3k rpm

I've been getting a vibration/shutter while accelerating. It’s directly related to RPMs. Only happens between 2 and 3k. (2200 and 2700 to be exact) The vibration is more pronounced when turning right. Torque related, more pronounced in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but It’s felt in all gears, except 5th. I do get a slight vibration when cruising at 70, in 5th, RPMs at 2100.

Sure it isn't just loud exhaust?

I only have American Thunder axle backs and I get some exhaust vibration in the RPM areas you mentioned.

Not sure about turning right, tho...

Don't think it's the exhaust. The car is stock and nothing has changed with the exhaust. This problem started a few months ago and has got progressively worse. I originally thought u joint but it's directly related to rpm so don't think it's that. Then I though the clutch pack because turning the wheel effects it. Still may be that. I did take it to ford. Took a ride with the mechanic. He was uncertain where it was coming from. He added some friction modifier to the differential...didn't fix it. To me, the fact it's only happening within that rpm range, in any gear, it's gotta be something before the transmission...?

Check your motor mounts.

While your description doesn't fit the usual symptoms of wheel imbalance, I'd check to see that the car didn't throw a wheel weight. Hey, it doesn't cost you anything to check it.
