Decklid Installation - Rain - 3M tape?
The instructions state to install the decklid panel when the temperature is between 60 - 80 degrees. I am planning on installing in my garage and the weather is warm enough, however it is raining and will do so through Saturday.
My question is, will the humidity effect the 3M double sided tape when curing?
Once the rain clears, the temp will drop back into the 50's.
Thanks in advance!

Make sure you really clean the trunk and the deck lid panel with rubbing alcohol where you are adding the extra tape. You are adding extra tape arnt you? I would also use some clamps or some painters tape to hold everything down in place for a couple of days too. I did not do this and sure enough it started to peel back after a year or so. I had to redo it and clamped it down that time.

TBH, I have no idea what the temp. was when I installed my decklid panel. Just made sure the surface was SUPER CLEAN (90% isopropyl alcohol) and stuck that bad boy on there, held it in place for a minute with medium/hard pressure and called it a day. That was about a year ago...maybe I should check on it lol

I installed mine with it in the 40's out.
But i did stick a small space heater near the trunk to warm the surface alitle beforehand.
Then cleaned thoroughly and carefully laid it down. Took some automotive masking tape and taped it down around the corners for the rest of the night.
Thin is on there solid. (i also may have went overboard with the double sided tape. Will be a bitch to remove if i need to lol)

Yes, I used extra super duty 3M tape and the 91% alcohol to clean the trunk area, which I bought when I installed my quarter window louvers last summer.
I also used a hair dryer to warm up the trunk area and placed a heater in the garage to keep the heat throughout the evening.
All is done and she stuck like a champ!
