Unhappy Big Wheel Disappointment !!!!!

Bought these from AmMuscle:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/blackg...0509-stag.html
and the already balanced wheel weights fell of the wheels pretty much a day after I got the wheels but luckily before I put them on my car.

AmMuscle was good enough to exchange my order since the local shop was having a hard time re-balancing the wheels.

I got my replacements and the wheel balance weights fell off again right out of the box and the wheels were scratched up from what appears to be a rough tire mounting job.

Looks like I'll be returning the wheels all together now.

Bummer......I really wanted some 18x9, 18x10s.....

Seems to be the only person to have this much trouble purchasing wheels from AM. Mine were perfect when they arrived.

Thats very unusual for AM. They are a quality company and do things right. I would get somebody on the phone. They will straighten it out.

Those weights not sticking is simple. They didnt clean the wheel surface. Its double stick tape. Their wheel guy needs to be fired fast. There is no excuse for that.

You are literally the only person I've ever heard of having this happen to when ordering from AM...could you supply pics? I am just wondering what the damage looks like.

That's a little extreme IMO. I'm sure there's a good reason for it. If the local wheel guys couldn't balance it either then I suspect the wheel itself. I know because I had almost the exact same problem with a set of used GT4s. Because they were used I thought that was the problem.

I'm positive AM will make this right. They normally do. I doubt, however, they need to fire someone for it.

I agree. Give them a call and a shot at correcting it. They're a solid company with a great rep. I'm sure they will get you straight.

It really sucks this is happening to you as I know how badly we all want to get new stuff on our cars, but I'm sure those new wheels, once they're on, will be worth it in the end.

I thought I read about the same thing happening to someone else recently also. It almost sounded word for word. I can't remember now when it was. Either way, seems like a pretty quick fix. I'm sure AM will make it right. And maybe they have a new guy working over there who needs a refresher. No biggie.
