Lemme put it this way. They are pretty equal in 1/4 mile performance. 13.5 stock for the 05-10 GT, 13.7 stock for the new V6. The new V6 has way less torque down low and does not take to mods as well though. The V8 sounds and looks better too. Go with the V8.
