Default 06' Mustang GT Real world MPGs?

Hey everyone,
This is my first post on this thread, so im sorry if this has been posted before.
I am looking into getting a 06' GT at my local auto sales shop and its in great condition and all stock. I dont know what gears it has but it is a 5 speed manual.

I have been debating between the GT and the v6 models because i want to get good gas mileage out of this car. i know that it is a mustang and wont get amazing MPGs but i know my friends 2008 Mustang v6 auto gets like 27 or so on the high way per gallon and city she gets about 19 give or take on how she is driving.

So what do you guys expect me to get for mostly city driving? and then highway driving? Under easy or normal driving conditions, ( not accelerating fast)

thanks in advance for any help you guys may give me!

If you want great mileage get the V6

If I granny drive in the city I MAY get 16-17, but realistically normally around 15ish +/-

Drive ~70% highway and see 23mpg (I don't granny drive for ****)...only 6er that gets better mileage is the 2011+ model. The 2010 and older 6er's got VERY similar mileage to the GTs.

My 6er has gotten up to 30 but that is all highway. With a tune and my mods, I getting around 26-28 when I running the Premuim tune. Usually around 25 though in the winter.

As far as the GT if you tune it and drive it right I would say you could easily get 25 Highway and 20ish most of the time

I've seen 28mpg @65mph according to the odometer during my drive to Arkansas. It really just depends on "how" YOU drive.

I got between 24.3 MPG at around 60 MPH. Dropped to 22 MPG at 70 MPH, city is less of course around 18 MPG unless you are hard on it then you can get a lot less.

Mid 20s for me with 70% highway 30% city. The highest computer estimate I have ever had was on a 120+ mile round trip a few months ago. I had it up to 29.9 by the time I pulled into the garage, it was all highway at 60mph. It was a "perfect storm" of events though, its usually at a solid 25mpg. It was a test to see how I could do on that particular trip, I had a very light foot that night.

Edit: I'm sure it wasn't really 29.9, but even if it was off by a little thats still a darn good fuel economy run.

So what do you guys think i should do? Stick with getting a v6 manual or GT manual...?

I am only 19 and this will be my daily driver in and around town and going to college about 30 minutes away on the highway and 5 minutes through city driving.

Is there a considerable difference in power? I mean i know there is but enough to want to make me get a GT lol
