Default Opinions on tail lights

Do you think switching the tail lights out or putting that darkening tint on them is a good idea.
Right now I just have the sequential bulbs and a 3m molding as trim.

Pics of anybody's car that shows options would be great! Thanks.

This is what I used to have and I took it off like 2 weeks later since people can't tell when my turn signal was on and almost hit me couple times.

I'd keep it how it is. The trim makes the lights pop & it flows well with your spoiler/blackout panel & really, the whole look your car has going on. Perfect blend of red/black IMO.

+1 It looks good as it is...

I personally am waiting to see if someone comes out with 2013 style tail lights for the 05-09s!

Unless your going to do the tint and not covers I say, yes. The covers look horrible IMO.

If I did anything, it would be a light smoke. You can give these a try and if you don't like them, pull them back off.

Thanks. I notice you also have an '05. Buy it new? That trim is 3m bodyside molding...back in the day, there were no aftermarket parts on the market yet. Thinking on it, I'd have to either remove the trim, cut the tint film or get replacement lights.

Thanks for everyone's opinions and kind words! Love S197 tech.

I think tinting the tails would look good. Here's mine with black out panel, tinted tails and tail light bezel trim...
