Loud thunk , possibly from AC?

Loud thunk , possibly from AC?
I turned my car on this morning and changed the AC from max ac to normal AC, like 15 seconds later i hear a loud thunk, i thought i ran over something but i didnt see anything. Is this AC thunk normal?
I know my 2003 mustang gt did this sometimes, but i had never had it happen on my 2011. Mabe its only when using the non-max ac setting.
Has this happened to anyone else?
