Reliability/cost of owning GT500 vs GT
My current car is a 2009 G37 (which is awesome) but my first car was a 2006 V6 Mustang...a real 210hp speed demon, it demolished the 0-60 in...forever. But I loved it anyways. Back to the point, in a couple of years I'm going to be car shopping for a used mustang from this year (probably). I want to go fast, but I dont necessarily only want to turn left...haha. Anyways. I've been looking at the current lineup and it really doesnt seem like I can go wrong. Im really eyeing the 2013 GT500...but 650hp is alot. Obviously not many people (or anyone?) actually has the new GT500, but do you guys think it will be "Built Ford tough" and can handle that kind of power reliably? Have the previous GT500s ever had problems years down the road because the engine is too much? Clearly I'm no car junkie, I just know more HP/torque = more fast haha. I almost want to lean towards the regular GT because its "fast enough" and if something broke I wouldnt cry. Would the cost of repairs for the GT500 be substantially higher than that of a regular GT? As in, would a repair for the GT cost the same as a repair for the GT500? Either way, I'm still tempted by the GT500 because I've heard the its supposed to be able to create wheelspin in 3rd gear, which is...awesome

I'm not sure if you are aware of how much engineering has gone into the new GT500's... they are beasts. You think they develop a car with 650hp, and not make sure every single component is strong enough to handle it?
Oh and i'm guessing by "GT" you mean the new 5.0's with 420hp.... that would be enough for me but I know a stock 4.6L with 300 might be a bit boring. I'm putting around 350 to the wheels and as you may know, you always want more. But I'm not trying to blowup motors right now.
I'm surprised you havn't thought about the BOSS ... they have 444hp... not sure how you can get bored with that. It has forged internals. You can slap a blower and make 550 hp to the wheels
