Ok, so I'm having my windows tinted this weekend. Here in NY, the "legal" limit for tint is like 70%, which is basically aquarium glass. Kind of pointless if you ask me. I'm going with 20% all around, I figure if 35% can get me a ticket I might as well just get the 20%, which looks great on my black GT. I drove a pathfinder for a few years with tinted windows and never had a problem, but I know they're cracking down on everything these days, for no other reason than because they want the dough.

What I want to know is, how much flak am I really going to get from the local cops if I do this, and do you think I would get less flak at 35%? What's up NY?

What's Up Neighbor ? ... I'm not really sure how dark you wanna go but here in NYC cops carry some sort of tint-o-meter ... lol ... They probably wont bother you as long as they can see inside the vehicle with the windows up ... Me personally ? ... I use the finger test ... If you can see me give you the finger with the windows up then its legit ... lol ... BTW , gotta get mine done too ...

I wouldn't be surprised. Keep your eyes peeled for a black GT with unlawfully dark windows.
