I am afraid of what this could turn into for a couple of simple issues - but, randomly, the color choices for MyColor stopped functioning properly for the ambient lighting (such as the footwell, door sills, cup holder etc all linked together). still works normally for the gauge / cluster.

a couple of colors dont work at all, a couple of colors select the wrong color.

randomly, the head unit has started defaulting to AM radio 600 instead of aux/fm, whatever I left it on last.

any thoughts on things to check, try? should I start simple and try a battery reset / check fuses?

If this is a wiring issue I'm afraid of what it could turn into. bit tired of leaving my car at the dealership. : P

I would not even begin to get into that issue. I would bet it is computer issues. If you end up not repairing it, the dealer may not touch it either, once you are done. Just take it in.

Arg. I really loathe the idea of my interior being ripped apart and the wiring fiddled with and my car being MIA while they figure it out. it's been my experience in the past that the more you rip apart interiors, the more rattles you run into, and ultimately end up just 'dealing with them'. :/

I hear you though - any diy attempt is likely futile and I'm prolonging the inevitable. This car has been in the shop more then any of my past 6 cars combined. they'll probably tell me these issues cannot be replicated first and I'll have to find a TSB that clearly describes the problem exists and has a documented solution to follow. /vent : P
