Default Running rich - P0172 - Can anyone help?

So I drove my car just now to go buy some brake caliper paint, and as soon as I start her up, I get the Check Engine Light. The car drove good, the auto store is just a few blocks away. I got home and quickly plugged in the tuner. It threw out code P0172 Running Rich. I have a BBK cai, 91 race tune, and dual exhaust, all of them for over a year now, so I know it isn't any tuning or cai problems. I haven't done any modifications in a while, so I have no idea what is causing the CEL to come on. Is there a way I can figure out what's causing this and most importantly, how do I fix it? It was raining yesterday several times during the day and night, can that be a cause? Any help would be highly appreciated. Oh, and also, I do fill up with 91 octane, so I know that can't be the problem as well.

I have this issue occasionally too. If have an e-mailed tune that was done at sea level and you live in a mountainous area that can cause your car to run rich since the tune wasn't done to adjust for your altitude. At least it isn't running lean.

So it isn't as bad as if it were running lean? Would I be ok driving it like that?

I don't have that problem, but being in Indiana it's hard to replicate the situation since we are at a pretty consistent elevation. Did you check your MAF and the CAI to make sure you don't have any leaks? Maybe one developed over time is my only guess.

Yeah it's not going to blow your motor up. Your gas mileage won't be as good it is could be but nothing drastic. You can run a data log and send it in to your tuner to have them make a newer tune for you.
