Default Price to replace rear brake pads $355?

So, is paying $355 to replace the rear brake pads a good deal? I have a 2006 Mustang GT.

Simple answer. NO. And not no, but HELL NO...

You could purchase Hawk HPS pads for front and back and get your OEM rotors turned for alot less than what you are being quoted for just the rear. The only tool you'll need besides your basic socket set is a brake caliper compressor tool. I purchased mine at Harbor Freight for $10.

Do it yourself and save the money for other mods.

Never... Ever... Pay someone to replace your pads... A simple google and YouTube how to change brake pads is enough.

What planet.... sorry, that's rude.

What year in the future.... sorry, that's rude, too.

What those before me said.

That is nuts! A complete brake job shouldn't cost that much. I took my wife's car (2007 chysler 300) to the local alignment shop because the brakes were pulsating. They told me worse case was turning front and rear rotors and replacing pads for $280. All they ended up doing was turning the front rotors for $75.

I am replacing my rotors front and rear, upgrading to GT fronts, and going to install front and rear Hawk pads tomorrow. All of it cost $389 shipped. I got a quote of $150 for my shop to install it all, just in case I didn't feel like doing it. So yeah the price you were quoted for just rear pads seems really high.

you can buy 4 cross drilled slotted rotors front and rear and some centric pads for that price.
