Front plates in Texas?

I ran various vehicles in TX for over 25 years with no front plate. Only got stopped one time just for the front plate. I told the DPS officer I was going to the dealership to have it installed. No warning and I never put it on.

When i picked up my 2011 u told the dealer i was not going to accept the car if it had a front plate. They would not apply the registration sticker untill i allowed the front plate to be put on. Now thet slip up on the law.. oh well i still dont like them

I haven't run a front plate on my mustand of my t-bird
I've gotten little add-ons to speeding tickets where they mention the plate but never pulled over just for the plate
I didn't think about it when I was signing the papers and I should have pushed back over the drilling, but I simpily put to cool'ish looking screws in the holes they put in

hahaah that guy with the stealth plate! i love it..... Hey guys i live here in the valley and from the state of condition of some of the vehicles Ive seen down here leads me to believe that the police dont care. Missing bumpers, headlights, plates, you name it. I could be wrong, then of course Ive always driven new or new cars.

Been driving in Texas since I was 16.....now 37 and never got a ticket for no plate the front. Never had one on any of my cars. State Troopers are the only ones I have ever heard of writing tickets for not having one. Sadly when I bought my car they had already mounted the holder

Clearly I am not in Texas but, we have the same law so... While I cringe every time I see a cop sitting in the middle of the highway or coming at me with no one in front of me, I continue to push it. Its really just a matter of time. ANd when they finally do, I am sure they will hit me for the window tint as well since 50% is max legal in Ohio and I exceeded that.
I find it to be Sherrifs that want to be the hardasses since I got 3 no front plate tickets and 1 window tint ticket from them on my old car and 0 from anyone else.
Clearly, the State and City cops actually have work to do.. you know.. saving lives and protecting. Sherrifs.. well.. I guess they prefer to just harrass people instead. Must be nice to be a bully and have no one to answer to.
