Opinions on Next Purchase
I am at a point in my Mustangs life where there isnt much more for me to do, so I am looking to update some things I have already done. Feenin' is probably the better way to look at this.....
What would you do!
My thoughts are to do one of the following two things:
- Replace my decel whining 3.73 gears with 4.10's
OR
- Replace my JLT series 2 with a JLT series 3
My budget is $300 up front with the hopes to sell off some of the parts I pull off (along with a few other things hanging around my garage) to basically come out even in the end.
Other suggestions are absolutely welcome, but please asking me to save my money and do something that is hugely expensive isnt the answer.
pics for reference (plus I like them)

I'd fix the gears, but don't think 300 is enough to cover that, unless you know someone. I know you said you had other parts to sell. The difference in JLT cai's isnt worth the upgrade considering what mods you already have. Car looks good!

replace the sportlines with pro kit.
less scraping. then you can do the chin spoiler.
sportlines aren't street friendly. I had them on my 2000 and it scraped everywhere.
changed to pro kit, and scrapes only half as often. which is significantly better.
otherwise i would do the gears.

I do know someone and he does excellent work, the labor for install is $200. He tried eliminating the whine before and did the install several times before we gave up. Perhaps 4.10s will have better luck.
This is always number one on my list, but my damn driveway just wont allow it. I scrape as it is because of the roll up curb entrance. My new M-80s mid mounted scraaaaaaaape every single time....estimate to fix was $1000, figured I would just deal with it.

Instead of a new CAI, why not a new set of coil packs..

My theory (which may not hold water) is I went from 3.31 to 3.73, which is very close to the ratio difference between 3.73 and 4.10. So theoretically it should be a noticable difference.
