Screwed only question is how much?

Well tried to change my spark plugs today was done with all but one and on the last one seemed to have stripped the spark plug hole (don't know what that's called) It only has 5 plugs in right now and I think i'm going to take it to the mechanic tomorrow, what should I expect, how bad is it?

Or Youtube videos, for example:

This is why you should always put a small dab of anti-seize on spark plugs when they are in aluminum heads. Keeps the (steel) threads of the plug from welding to the aluminum. You can remove the plug with enough force, but it will pull the aluminum threads out with it. Also some aluminum heads are very torque-sensitive about plug installation. Always use a torque wrench.
I would think a shop could do it in-car for an hour of shop time plus maybe $50 for the tool and materials. Assuming it can be done with the head in-place.
Good luck! Hope it helps.

How were you reinstalling the plugs? Did you use a piece of hose to insert and turn the plug? I've always started new plugs this way on everything and never have I cross threaded one. Don't use a socket to start the plug. Was the motor warm or cold?
Or did you strip it by over torquing it? Just trying to help you figure out why it happened, so it won't happen again.

I understand thanks for the help everone and moosestang I didnt do that specific plug it actually was my friend installing it While i was checking thre gap on the other plugs and I beleive he put the plug in at the wrong angle and thats how the threads got stripped.
BTW I just called the ford dealer and he said best scenario it could cost $160 and worst case scenario it could cost $800 if they have to remove the head does this seem fair or should i look somewhere else?
