Or just get a smartphone with pandora and plug it in. Free radio that you make your own channels for.

Custom channels that play only what I want and not a single ad to be heard for $3 a month. I can also take it anywhere with me and play it through speakers that have a stereo input.

I can also skip songs I don't like or just thumbs them down to never hear them on that channel again. I can bookmark songs that I really like to later add to my media collection at the house.

If I want to listen to real radio channels, I just use the iHeartRadio app on my Android and dial into the station I want.

Pure win.

After I get done with a few more mods and get down to the carputer on the mod list I will have a 4g dongle plugged in to it at all times. In-car interwebz w/ a touchscreen monitor running a 4 core atom CPU on Win7 with a 240GB SSD for media storage = win.

Quad Core Atom CPU's aren't due until very late this year if at all. More likely for 2013.

I hate dinkering with gadgets while I'm driving so I prefer Sirius. Pandoras great for home and the car if you have a co-pilot, otherwise you're just asking for an accident.

This is something I have been meaning to do. My radio has been inactive for almost four years. I cancelled when I couldn't get a signal in my apartment and my commute became 5 minutes. Now it's an hour each way. I have tried streaming music on my phone but the drops in coverage and buffering takes too long on my phone.

I got the lifetime subscription back when they first started. It has paid for itself many times over. Get to listen to it on the computer for free too.

It's not a true quad ATM, I have the dual-core w/ hyperthreading (currently serving as my web/mumble/media server) which is 4 logical CPU's, may as well be a four core even though a true four core will process data at a slightly faster rate.

I don't ever tinker with it anymore really, unless it is to change channels. I have like 10 channels of WIDE variety that play pretty much only things I like. Maybe once in a blue moon I get something I don't.

Just snagged this deal as well. Just BS'ed them saying I got a letter in the mail telling me about the $25/6 months deal. Next time I might end up just getting the $77 for a year and go with that since I'll have a solid job, but for now, cheap is what I do best!
