Default Low idol P0105 this could happen to you!

I'm all fed up with trying to figure this out on my own.
There are 2 separate issues. I'll be sending this page out to mechanics in my local area.

1, how does an e-brake just pop?
2, how is it that my car doesn't know how to hold a decent idol?

Here's the rundown:
http://www.glovesandclover.com/temp/05mustang_gt/
Let me know if you know something that I haven't tried.

I just went through having rough idle, low idle. I read a post here about cleaning the throttle body and replacing the fuel filter. I cleaned the throttle body first and noticed an immediate improvement, replacing the fuel filter helped even more.

That's great advice. I'll try cleaning the throttle body tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes. If that's not it, then I'll try the fuel pump.

1. Rusted through more than likely, right at the spot that the little latch wraps around the cable that fits into that slot.
*snap*, *ting*, and out $150...
You have to replace the whole assembly, $150. $122 online here or just hit up your local dealer's part dept.

2. +1 to TB cleaning, assuming you've done no other recent modding.

Low idle problem, if the cleaning doesn't fix it, you may need to buy a new TB. If you have a tuner you may want to see if you can bump the idle up..?

Disconnect your negative battery cable and reconnect. Reset the system to "re-learn" the idle.

Default Solution to 1 of 2 problems

*** LOW IDOL ISSUE ***

I did try that one. Nothing. =(

HOWEVER! I did finish spraying the S*** out of that throttle body
and wiped it down until I could see my refection...

MY MUSTANG RUNS LIKE IT WAS NEW OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR!
Thank you guys, you have saved me HUNDREDS (or tens) of dollars
from a mechanic billing me for hours. Took me 15 minuets, and I spent
10 minuets too long polishing!

Who knew that a throttle body could be so sensitive to muck!?
all the much was on the back side of the TB, thick black tar.
Here it is with me holding the valves open picture taken from the
back:

*** E-BRAKE ***
Now to address problem 1. I'll probably have to buy a whole new kit
and will probably have to have it professionally installed. I think i'm
missing some special tools to get these clasps off.

Quick update...

Found a guy on some other forum via Google...

"Ford Racing front parking brake cable. Have to modify E-brake to attach, weld on to the 2nd tooth to have a functioning E-brake."

Do you think i can get away with just buying that part and some how figuring a way to install it?

A while back i remember an nice e-brake aftermarket part that replaces the whole unit, not just a dress-up. Can't find it anywhere.

This isn't what i was thinking of:

This is a nice tutorial, still can't pull the whole part up. Still seems have the
tube stuck. http://www.mustangcollective.com/showthread.php?p=68694

Very good that worked for you, I too was amazed at the improvement cleaning the throttle body had, for the ease of the repair.

Which is why using one of these is generally very popular even NA'd rather than just when SC'd:

Since most of the garbage makes its way in there from here, keeps it clean much longer as well as not having to deal with burning that garbage off.

As to the e-brake, there are a few threads on replacing it. One part isn't fun, but you should be able to do it yourself without much trouble. As to just hacking the existing one to get functioning again, not sure, if ya got the tools, and experience, go for it. Really, unless you know though, me, I'd just spend it and get it over with.
