I have the painted extentions. these extensions fit great, and its nice that they are drilled with 2 sets of mounting holes. The 2nd hole lines up with a hole above the headlight. To use that hole just pick up a 1/4" square nylon nut. The kind you use for licence plates. While you're there get some ford panel/trim retainers. The nylon nut fits perfectly in the hole and if you drill out the nut with a 1/4" bit the push retainers fit perfectly. That way you can secure them down with more than just the one bolt.

Thanks! This is the kind of replies I was looking for! In regards to the comment on AmericanMuscle. That is where I'm buying most of he stuff. I've ordered from them before. Just trying to find info that is more than a couple happy words from reviews.

The hood struts were one of the first mods I put on my car, installed very easily and definitely makes popping the hood and working/showing off much easier than with the stock prop rod. The only trouble I ran into was I didn't realize there was a locking tab that you have to open to put the strut onto the bracket, I just tried to force it on until I actually read the instructions...
