I have the painted extentions. these extensions fit great, and its nice that they are drilled with 2 sets of mounting holes. The 2nd hole lines up with a hole above the headlight. To use that hole just pick up a 1/4" square nylon nut. The kind you use for licence plates. While you're there get some ford panel/trim retainers. The nylon nut fits perfectly in the hole and if you drill out the nut with a 1/4" bit the push retainers fit perfectly. That way you can secure them down with more than just the one bolt.

The hood struts were one of the first mods I put on my car, installed very easily and definitely makes popping the hood and working/showing off much easier than with the stock prop rod. The only trouble I ran into was I didn't realize there was a locking tab that you have to open to put the strut onto the bracket, I just tried to force it on until I actually read the instructions...
